SUMMARY
Qualified candidates will be challenged to write press releases; develop relationships with media professionals, agencies and industry leaders. This position assists with various promotional, branding, advertising and marketing programs. By the end of a typical three-month internship, interns in this area can take a marketing program from concept to implementation. Also included in this program will be some event planning, membership development and networking opportunities. Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association with 77 chapters representing 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with 2 million employees. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write and disseminate press releases
- Develop and maintain list of media contacts
- Develop and/or update various marketing material
- Help plan and coordinate special events
- Assist with website maintenance and newsletter
- Develop advertisements and investigate media buys
GOALS
- To create a consistent voice and look for ABCWV
- To help create and implement a branding/marketing campaign
- To support membership into ABCWV
- To market ABCWV programs to maximize member participation
