Time line
Fall 2010, beginning August 30; with possible extension through spring semester, based on student’s performance and availability. Start date is flexible.

Position Description
Opportunity for a detail-oriented student interested in the publishing and editorial fields. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Send books to media contacts
  • Send review copies of books to academic journals
  • Provide administrative support to the Director including follow-up with prospective authors and review of proposals.
  • Participate in editorial planning and “decision to publish” meetings
  • Provide additional support for editorial and acquisition oriented tasks

General requirements
Student should be available an average of 8-10 hours per week. Some assignments may be submitted electronically; other work will be conducted at the ICPE office. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word and Excel required.
