Internship Description

The graphic design intern is responsible for taking media, such as dates, times, film synopsis and pictures, and creatively using it to create posters advertising events for the WVU Office of Multicultural Studies. Must be able to follow work on a deadline and within small time-frames. Most posters deal with movies featured during brown bag luncheons. This is a volunteer opportunity.

Campus correspondent needed for Well WVU program

WELL WVU Campus Correspondent description:

The WELL WVU Campus Correspondent will be responsible for collecting short video interviews of WVU students and writing video scripts on selected topics each month. The correspondent will complete two videos each month based on the topic of the month. Each video should be 3-5 minutes in length and seek out the opinion of students on campus.

WorldNomads.com photography scholarship

In conjunction with National Geographic Channel, WorldNomads.com is offering the opportunity for one talented student to go on a 7 day assignment with National Geographic photographer Jason Edwards, to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Working alongside Jason they will photograph rare and endangered wildlife, historical architecture and colourful cultural life. Gaining invaluable mentoring and hands on experience in everything from shot set up, technique and composition through to insights into Jason’s many years of diverse experience, they will learn what it is like to be a National Geographic Photographer on assignment.

The scholarship winner will receive (AUD)$2000 worth of Pentax photographic equipment plus have their best photographs published on National Geographic Channel. (see last year’s winner’s photos from Antarctica). They will be flown to Paro from their country of residence to join their mentor and guide from Jo Jo’s Adventures to explore the deeply spiritual Bhutan as it opens up the modern world, in careful balance with its ancient traditions.

CBS Radio-Pittsburgh internship program (internships available year round)

Sales Internships with CBS Radio–Pittsburgh are supervised by the Sales Assistant and the entire Sales department (Account Executives, Local Sales Managers, General Sales Managers and Director of Sales). Each student will be an intern for the four Pittsburgh CBS Radio stations (KDKA-AM, KDKA-FM, WDSY, and WZPT) and will be scheduled according to the weekly hours required by their school for the number of credits they are receiving (limited to Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm). Please note that this is a non-paid internship and credits are required.

Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assisting 25 Account Executives and 7 Sales Managers with their daily needs
· Designing proposals, media kit pieces and register-to-win signs
· Writing commercial scripts
· Contacting potential clients by phone
· Attending sales meetings
· Attending client presentations as available
· Basic filing, copying and computer work

WV Radio Corporation is looking for interns

WV Radio Corporation is looking for interns for the fall and spring semesters. Internships are available for on-air, promotions/events, and website design/administration. Interns will be given the opportunity to see and work in all facets of radio spanning from the daily operations at the station to working a major event or promotional remote. Internships are unpaid, but can be taken for college credit. To be considered for an internship applicants must meet the following criteria:
