Fall 2010 Big East Virtual Career Fair

The Big East Career Consortium is pleased to announce its fall Virtual Career Fair for employers, students, and alumni interested in exploring jobs and internships. The Big East Virtual Career Fair is open to the students and alumni of the 16 “Big East” Conference schools. The live online event will take place November 10, 2010 with extended dates on November 11, 12, 15, 16, and 17.

What is a virtual fair?

A virtual fair is a fully interactive, online experience that emulates a live career fair. Thousands of students and alumni from Big East colleges and universities will “visit” employer booths sponsored by corporate, government, and nonprofit employers. This state-of-the art fair, powered by Unicruit, will utilize the latest computer technology and take employers and job seekers beyond standard job postings and resume submissions. This event has an entirely new look. There will be live interactions on the day of the event followed by eight days of contact opportunities—all from the convenience of one’s home, office, or dorm room.

Why participate in a virtual fair?

Virtual fairs enable you to submit your resume to a variety of employers with the added benefit of email and chat interactions, just like in a live event. No suits are required. You don’t need to print a stack of resumes. You only need your online resume, internet access, and time.
