Public Relations Intern / Publicist
Blues Alley Records – Morgantown, WV
Seeking a Senior Public Relations Major interested in interning at Blues Alley Records as a Publicist to promote and work in the country music industry. Internship will include promoting regional artist at the national level. Work will include communicating with national press to obtain reviews of music, assist in obtaining appearances for groups. Working with internet sites, social networking, blogs, etc.
Internship is about 10-14 hours a week. A lot can be accomplished via a phone, internet, etc.
Want someone that is highly motivated, ability to work the phones and learn the industry. Assignments are fast and daily results are expected.
This internship will take a lot of daily communication. You will learn how the music industry works and get a good taste of what goes on. You will not be pushing papers and getting coffee. You will be talking and working with the people that matter.
