The School of Journalism’s “West Virginia Uncovered” project was recently featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s technology news section. The article discusses how the School’s unique approach to online journalism has helped more than a dozen small newspapers make the digital leap. In addition, it features the School’s “Mobile Main Street” project – an extension of “West Virginia Uncovered” headed by Assistant Professor Dana Coester – in which faculty and students are working to create smartphone applications for legacy news organizations in rural areas.
