The WVU Business Incubator is seeking Corporate Services interns to assist in providing a variety of support services to start-up companies. Paid positions are available, and the internship may be eligible for course credit within the student’s major. Scheduling is flexible, but students must meet minimum hour requirements if they wish to receive course credit for their major. Credit requirements are set and managed by the department and college of the student’s major. Interested applicants should speak with their academic advisor or department chair to confirm their eligibility and requirements for obtaining course credit. This position is open to any major.
Dedicated to “Nurturing Technology-Based Businesses for 21st Century West Virginia,” the WVU Business Incubator utilizes carefully selected teams or individuals from graduate and undergraduate programs and representing a myriad of different academic disciplines, to provide the environment and resources that start-up business need to cultivate success.

Corporate Services interns will assist and support the multiple organizations operating within and through the WVU Business Incubator along with providing support for the WVU Business Incubator, the WVU Office of Technology Transfer, and other WVU Research Corporation activity. Projects typically may include among other things:
• Assist in writing and reviewing business plans
• Assisting in marketing plan development and implementation
• Coordination of community service activities
• Other various tasks related to day to day operations
• Developing and assisting with corporate governance documentation
