Intern for WV sports team this summer

Are you looking to work in the professional sports industry? Would you like to get involved in a fun and challenging environment? If so, then you want to become part of the West Virginia Power professional minor league baseball front office staff! The West Virginia Power would like to make that happen for a select group of friendly, courteous, and motivated individuals looking to get a “foot in the door” in the competitive sports and entertainment industry!

There will be team representatives visiting campus on February 21, 2012, to conduct interviews in Martin Hall. Positions include:

  • Ticket Operations
  • Graphic Design/Social Media
  • Grounds Keeping
  • Marketing
  • Production
  • Gameday Operations
  • Stadium Operations
  • Accounting/Human Resources
  • General Internships

Students can work for college credit, and the organization will help with finding a place to live/roommates for the summer.

Interested students are encouraged to come by David Becker’s office, 108 B Martin Hall, to see the full descriptions of the available positions. Students can expect to interview for about 15 minutes each and are encouraged to submit their resume and cover letter to David Becker (David.Becker@mail.wvu.edu ) so that they may be sent to team officials for review.Submission deadline is Wednesday, February 15.
