Stipend: TBD (will follow guidelines as set by the Office of Graduate Education and Life)

Position Details:
GA will be required to work 20 hours per week.

NBAC can establish specific, regular work hours to meet the needs of both the student and the Center; however the hours generally must occur during the normal work hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Adjustments to the regular schedule can be made by the supervisor to accommodate changing circumstances either in the work requirements or in student’s coursework, on a case-by-case basis. Position may require some travel for which student will be reimbursed per WVU’s travel policies and procedures.

Time off from the position will be arranged to meet the NRCCE’s needs, but in general will follow the standard academic calendar. University holidays in which the entire university is closed (e.g. Independence Day) are to be taken that day only. The student will be credited with having worked a 4-hour day. Because of the nature of the position, it may be necessary to work during breaks and between semesters, the details of which can be negotiated at those times.

Eligible applicants must be registered as full-time students.

Extension of the assistantship beyond December 2012 will be contingent upon the satisfactory performance of assigned duties, academic standing in academic department as described in the graduate catalog, and the availability of funds for the position. Performance and academic standing will be reviewed periodically to ensure that student remains eligible to continue in the assistantship.

Students may not hold more than one assistantship with WVU at the same time.

Mr. Patrick Kirby, Director of NBAC, will be the supervisor for this position. Assistant schedule and specific duties and assignments should be coordinated with him.
