Job Description:

Assist Public Relations team (Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, PR Manager) and other staff as needed. Provide quality customer service to media, bankers and internal staff.

Will provide administrative support to the Executive Vice President of Communications. Responsibilities include but not limited to scheduling, meeting planning, preparation of team building events, managing the Communications Intern Program, preparing travel arrangements, various research assignments, preparation of presentations and other materials.

Daily interaction with media, bankers and internal staff in communicating ABA positions and messages. Provide assistance to PR staff in office management including scheduling, meeting planning and budgeting. Responsible for editing and distribution of compilation of banking news articles; ability to use Nexis database and other new retrieval services. Oversee special projects including but not limited to: press conference preparation/logistics; research; graphs and charts; media tour preparation; conference pressroom registration/logistics; department budgeting.

*Requirements: *

H.S. diploma (College degree in Communication, Journalism or Public Relations preferred) and 3 years related work experience (or equivalent combination of related training and relevant experience). Proficient in Microsoft Office, database management, and HTML (or earn ABA’s website administrator’s certificate). Excellent communications and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize work and work well with others.
