WVVA in Beckley seeks reporter

WVVA Inc., in Bluefield, W.Va. is looking for an ambitious journalist to find, shoot, edit and report news from our station’s Beckley Bureau. Applicants must be self-starters who can track down news and report it on-air, online and across our station’s social media and mobile platforms. This is the perfect place to learn the multi-platform reporting business quickly.

Applicants must be hard-working, creative journalists who can tell compelling stories rather than simply write news copy. They must work hard and learn fast.

WVVA is part of Quincy, a family-owned media company operating 12 television stations in a variety of market sizes.

A college degree and at least one year of experience are preferred. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is required as well as a good driving record and ability to work a flexible schedule.
