"Tales of an AP Journalist" – A tribute to George Esper Edit article

On October 25, the WVU P.I. Reed School of Journalism will host a screening of “Tales of an AP Journalist,” a short documentary about the late George Esper produced by 2009 SOJ alumna Elaine McMillion.

George Esper spent 10 years in Vietnam as the bureau chief for the Associated Press in Saigon and 10 years as the School of Journalism’s Ogden Newspapers Visiting Professor of Journalism. “Tales of an AP Journalist” chronicles Esper’s life from his childhood in Pennsylvania to the battlefields of Vietnam.
