Fenton seeking marketing intern for New York office -- start immediately

Fenton communications firm is looking for a Marketing Intern with top-notch communications skills to join the firm-wide marketing team in New York City.

Fenton is a pioneering social impact communications firm with 30 years of experience working on some of the country’s most important social change and social justice movements. Fenton provides media relations, branding, communications planning, and digital media services to nonprofit, corporate, and foundation clients. Fenton has 80 staff members in five offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and San Francisco.

The Marketing Intern will support the marketing team using online and offline channels to promote Fenton’s expertise, campaigns, and resources to further maximize the agency’s impact on the most pressing social justice issues of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting team by writing, editing, and brainstorming content for the Fenton blog and newsletter
  • Updating and organizing Fenton case studies
  • Assisting with the promotion and production of events at Fenton’s office
  • Supporting the rebuild and rollout of Fenton’s updated website
  • Organizing a calendar of 2013 conferences and awards
  • Assisting with award submissions for client work
  • Utilizing online metrics to evaluate the success of Fenton’s marketing efforts
  • Performing occasional administrative duties

  • Savvy communicators who can write well for a variety of audiences
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Enthusiastic about digital marketing and discovering new ways to engage people online
  • Passionate about creating social change
  • Familiar with online social platforms
  • College seniors or recent graduates
  • Work well with people

Preferred experience

  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Experience with Salesforce

Time commitment is 24 hours/week. The position begins immediately and ends December 21, 2012. School credit or a monthly stipend is available.
