Fayette County Community Television, in Uniontown, Pa., (about 20 minutes from Morgantown) is looking for a public relations or broadcast student to fill a production intern slot for its live variety show, “Going LIVE with FCTV” (http://goingLIVEfctv.org).
The internship position for spring begins January 28 and ends May 3. Interns must work a minimum of 60 total hours (or 100 total hours if applying for class credit).
Interns will:
- Identify and report on upcoming events in the region.
- Evaluate which guests and events are appropriate for a given television episode.
- •Employ appropriate telephone manner and community relations techniques in securing guest appearances for a television episode.
- Construct content for marketing materials.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to guests’ needs and concerns while welcoming them and preparing them for their appearances.
