West Virginia’s largest newspaper, the Charleston Gazette, offers two summer reporting internships. These internships are 13-week, paid positions. Successful applicants will be part of the Gazette’s reporting staff from mid-May through mid-August and will cover many types of news stories—from meeting coverage to breaking police news.
If you believe you would be a good candidate for one of these highly competitive positions, please e-mail Cathy Bonnstetter with your resume and cover letter describing your career ambitions. Gazette Executive Editor Rob Byers will visit the School of Journalism on Jan. 31, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. conducting interviews. Selected students should have three published news-writing clips available for the interview.
