Nonprofit environmental news organization hiring interns for summer 2013

Circle of Blue, a nonprofit news organization that reports about all kinds of topics relating to fresh water around the globe—for example, agriculture and food security, energy development and environmental policy is looking for a variety of interns for summer 2013.

All of the work is solely published online. They take editorial interns, graphic design interns, photography interns and research interns.
To view a project completed by last summer’s interns go to: http://www.circleofblue.org/waternews/2012/action-figures/action-figures/

The internships are in Traverse City, Michigan, right on the shore of Lake Michigan. They are unpaid, but past interns from out of town have been able to stay with some local “host families” to help with room and board costs.

To apply send a resume, 2 writing samples (or photo/graphic projects) and a cover letter to intern@circleofblue.org . The deadline is March 1, but could be flexible.

For questions email Codi Yeager, an SOJ alumna who works at Circle Blue at codi@circleofblue.org.
