TheCollegehelper.com needs spring interns, deadline 2/22!

TheCollegeHelper.com is seeking Spring interns who are interested in sharing their college experience through creating articles for our site.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a professional blogger to write 2 blog posts per week. Each blog post must be at least 600 words.
  • Conduct research for blog posts, including reading other blogs, conducting interviews, asking questions on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, etc.
  • Learn how to write different types of content (e.g., reviews, ‘how-to’ articles, profile pieces, etc.)
  • Comment on 2 blog posts written by other interns.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a current college student
  • English, communications, journalism and related majors preferred, but not required
  • Must have a passion for blogging and writing
  • Must be a good writer, team player, and technologically savvy
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Skype is a plus
  • Minimum 3-month commitment (but longer if you’d like!)
    o Spring Internship (March 4, 2013 – May 31, 2013)
    o Summer Internship (June 10, 2013 – August 30, 2013)
  • Academic credit is accepted, but not required to apply
  • Benefits:

    • Unpaid part-time internship
    • Work remotely on your own computer
    • Time commitment is only 5-10 hours per week, unless student wishes to put in more time
    • Flexible schedule. Content can be created whenever a student has time during the week
    • Gain valuable experience about about the blogging culture and social media
    • Upon completion, intern will have built a portfolio of published work
