The WVU chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will sponsor its inaugural News Trivia Bowl this semester, pitting three-person teams in a quiz-show competition to test quick recall about current events.
Any three WVU undergrads can form a team to compete, and WVU-recognized entities (e.g., clubs, fraternities, sororities or majors) are encouraged to field teams.
Registration is $15 per team. The winning team will win a trophy and its members will split $150; second-place team splits $30.
Register early – only 24 teams will compete!
All teams will participate in a preliminary round April 16. Six teams will advance to the final quiz-show event May 1 in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theatre.
