Skills/experience: 3-4 years of college in marketing, some sales experience, strong organizational skills and familiarity with database software and be detail-oriented, good telephone and internet research skills a must. _ Journalism and PR experience a bonus._
Scope: Applicants must obtain a thorough understanding of Capon’s unique service, heritage and operating style.
Expected time commitment: 20-40 hours/week with flexible scheduling and both onsite and offsite time. Position could develop into a part time position during the regular school year.
- Group Sales Support – assist with research and maintain active lead generation follow-up, data entry and maintain customer relations management (CRM)
- Government business- work with federal and state representatives as well as DC based meeting groups to locate and follow up with compatible groups
- Marketing Support: help create printed materials, in-house newsletters, with emphasis on electronic communications and social media development
- Reservation and/or front office support to assist with in-house guest referral and retention
Compensation: Lodging and meals provided along with negotiable stipend
Market segments: The goal is to fill in the resort season’s shoulder periods in May, June, September and October with small and midsize groups that will value the unique retreat-like experience that CsF has to offer. Over the past several years, CSF has upgraded meeting facilities and added a spa to better attract and support groups.

Targeted groups: Group size: 10 – 100 Length of stay: 1-5 nights (average 2 nights)
Geographic target: 2-3 hours drive (DC area, Charlottesville, Richmond)
