Blue & Gold News seeking interns

Blue & Gold News, a magazine and website dedicated to covering WVU athletics, is looking for two interns – one who would primarily work as a videographer/writer and another that would primarily work as an advertiser.

The videographer/writing intern at Blue & Gold News will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience interviewing college athletes and coaches. The intern will record interviews of WVU football coaches and players on Tuesday evenings throughout the fall and post them to YouTube. The position also includes basketball and Olympic sports interview responsibilities. The person will also write occasional stories and has the opportunity to pitch and produce video feature stories for the website (http://bluegoldnews.com). Applicants must be adept at using recording equipment and have at least limited experience with editing software.

The advertising intern at Blue & Gold News will have the opportunity to generate revenue through advertising in the magazine and/or website. Applicants must be outgoing and have a solid knowledge of businesses in the area.

Blue & Gold News is one of the leading media organizations for WVU sports. Interns will learn from a staff of award-winning writers and designers and gain a real-world experience that will help in the future as students seek full-time employment in the sports industry.

The writing/video intern position is unpaid. The advertising intern position would receive a commission per advertisement.
