The Arc of West Virginia is seeking a Videographer Intern for a project to begin this September.
The Videographer will create a documentary about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in West Virginia. Filming will be done at the 20th Annual People First
Conference at Jackson’s Mill, WV. Other events will be included if possible.
Time Commitment: The People First Conference will take place September 4th, 5th and 6th 2013. Working hours would be before the conference in preparation as well as onsite during and then afterward at the office and from home or school and at the other events if added.
Essential Duties, responsibilities and projects:
• Coordinate videoing of people with I/DD who attend People First Conference including guest speakers and participants
• Edit and enhance produced videos
• Communicate with the supervisor to make sure everything is covered
• Produce a documentary of the people who attend the 2013 People First Conference
• Deliver the documentary and extra video to The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley
Requirements:
• Students in any major that teaches production, editing, lighting and sound. Majors in photography, film, and communications are encouraged to apply
• Technical Skills: Excellent videographer skills along with the knowledge of editing the raw video into a completed project
• Video equipment which includes editing capabilities
