Attention aspiring sportswriters! The School of Journalism is offering a sports-focused section of JRL 318 (Media Reporting) in Spring 2014. The course (CRN 11327) will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-9:45 a.m. It will be taught by Mike Casazza, who covers WVU sports for the Charleston Daily Mail. Among other subjects, the course will cover: * sports beat source development * game coverage * in-depth features and issue stories * interviewing * social media techniques
