WBIR seeks digital producer

WBIR-TV, the Gannett-owned NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Tenn., is looking for a Digital Producer. WBIR is a #1-rated, Emmy- and Murrow-winning station. 
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive traffic to all platforms. The successful candidate must:

• Have solid news judgment
• Have a strong knowledge of AP-style writing
• Be social media savvy
• Understand and utilize analytics

The digital producer must also review, edit, and post reporter scripts; edit, process and post videos from the newscast and from the field; gather new content from the wire and from the field and post it to the website. In addition, this individual will also work with the appropriate parties to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

Some newsroom experience is a plus. A four-year college degree is required. Must be a team player and be willing to work early, late, or weekend hours.
