Software firm seeks marketing intern

Sherpa Software seeks a full-time intern to work within their marketing department. Earn valuable real-world B2B marketing experience with a local software company specializing in email and data management tools.

Sherpa’s award-winning software, services and support addresses information management, regulatory compliance, electronic discovery, PST management, email archiving and more.

The selected candidate will be a paid intern ($10/hour), responsible for assisting and supporting the marketing department with a variety of social media, website, trade show and marketing initiatives.

Job functions and responsibilities:

• Social media/website focus includes: Creating posts for current campaigns, drafting copy for our website/social channels and monitoring social media web analytics on a weekly basis (e.g. Twitter followers, page statistics and more) as well as providing reports of growth and other activity
• Trade show focus includes: Assisting with creation of trade show campaign ideas/materials, coordination of all moving pieces related to trade shows and keeping a watchful eye on crucial trade show deadlines
• Marketing initiatives include: Assisting the marketing department with creating innovative campaigns, maintaining marketing program files on the company server, conducting research on industry-specific sites (and those of Sherpa’s competitors), assisting with link-building/SEO efforts and more

Job requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail/consistency and organizational skills
• Knowledge and experience with Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media platforms (Google+ expertise is a plus – no pun intended)
• Software/technical industry knowledge is a plus, as well as experience in working with Hubspot, Salesforce and/or similar CRM systems
• Graphic design experience (using the Adobe Creative Suite) is not required, but helpful
• Preferred candidates are currently junior or senior college students, working toward/finishing a degree in marketing, public relations and/or communications
