The University will be requiring students to have health insurance coverage beginning in the Fall 2014 semester. All students at WVU and WVU Tech enrolled in six or more credit hours will be required to provide proof of adequate health insurance coverage or enroll in WVU’s Aetna student health insurance plan. Students who are already covered under a parent’s or spouse’s health insurance policy – or who have adequate health insurance coverage via another plan, including plans purchased through WV PEIA or the WV Insurance Exchange – may waive the student health insurance plan by completing an online waiver form. For more information, visit the WVU Student Insurance Office website at http://sio.hr.wvu.edu.
