There is an immediate position at The Western News in Libby, Montana. The position is for reporting but also includes other aspects, including editing and design. Candidate will write both quick turns and features. Libby is full of stories that need to be told and the newspaper is the main source of information for its citizens. The position is very hands-on and is full of potential for developing skills.
Libby is a small town, formerly a mining and timber area, and the community is very close-knit. The area is close to the Cabinet Mountains, the Kootenai National Forest, Idaho, Canada and many, many rivers, creeks, reservoirs and lakes.
Recreational opportunities include: hiking, running, climbing, water sports, skiing (downhill and cross-country), hunting, fishing, etc.
The position is immediate.
