The Hershey Company: Strategic Communications Intern

The Hershey Company has an opportunity for a summer intern in Strategic Communications. The intern will support the Strategic Communications Senior Manager and the Strategic Communications team in developing programs and communications materials for our food transparency initiatives, which include improving information access to ingredient and nutrition information, in addition to our global signature cause: child malnutrition.

The duration of this internship will run May/June – August 2015 and requires 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food transparency communications editorial plan and participate in cross-company functional teams.
• Develop communications including company ingredient points of view for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate communication materials on multimedia platforms including company intranet and external corporate website.
• Develop employee engagement communication materials for our global signature in the U.S.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

• Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nutrition/Dietetics or related majors
• GPA of 3.0 or higher

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer literacy, MS Office Tools … i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and in multidisciplinary groups/teams with a high level of self-motivation
