College Photographer of the Year Competition- Drop-in Session Sept. 17 & 24

Students –

Have you made a picture you like in the past year? Let’s get together, review your work and pick some of your best photos, videos or multimedia projects to enter into competition.

We have our eye on the College Photographer of the Year competition. The deadline is Oct. 4 and it is FREE to enter. There are plenty of individual categories along with the portfolio competition. So, don’t be shy. If you have just one or two entries—that’s a great start.

As a photographer I always found that I grew simply from the review process of entering competitions, so I encourage you to participate.

Professors Mary Kay McFarland, Lois Raimondo and I will host a drop-in session this Thursday, Sept. 17 in Room G4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help you review your work and prepare your contest entry. We’ll have a follow-up session on Thursday, Sept. 24, also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At a glance:

Who: You and Profs McFarland, Raimondo and Andrews

Why: You made some good stuff – so put it out there. Also, you’ll grow from the review process and entering this competition will make it easier to enter others.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on Thursday.
