Don Nehlen, former West Virginia University head football coach will visit the West Virginia University campus to discuss motivation and team building.
Nehlen will speak to WVU faculty and students on Wednesday, October 28, 7 p.m. in Grand Hall, Erickson Alumni Center. The presentation, titled “Motivation and team building for a successful program,” is free and open to the public.
Nehlen is the winningest football coach in WVU history. He served as the head coach of the Mountaineers from 1980-2000, posting a 149-93-4 record.
“The College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences is honored to host Coach Nehlen as our distinguished lecturer this fall,” said CPASS Dean Dana Brooks. “As a member of the Mid-American Conference, Bowling Green and Gator Bowl halls of fame, Coach Nehlen has a wealth of knowledge to share with our faculty, students and the WVU community.”
Taking WVU to 13 bowls and 17 winning seasons, Nehlen coached 15 first team All-Americans, 82 all-conference players, six first team Academic All-Americans and 80 players who went on to professional football.
