Alison Knezevich, who covers the WV Legislature, state government, higher education and business for the Charleston Gazette, will speak at the Journalism School, in Room 205, Martin Hall, on Wednesday, September 16, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.She is a Pittsburgh native and a graduate of Northwestern University. She joined the Gazette in 2007. She will speak to the NE427 class but all students, classes and friends are invited. She will talk about the job market and beginning a career, and take questions. Dr. George Esper, Ogden Newspapers Visiting Professor of Journalism, has been appointed to serve as the P.I. Reed School of Journalism Writing Coach.
Any SOJ student interested in improving his/her writing can request meeting times with Dr. Esper during his scheduled office hours (Wednesday 1-5 pm) or by appointment.
Undergraduate students who plan to graduate in December 2009 should plan to attend an upcoming SOJ Graduation Workshop. The next workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 4 pm in 205 Martin Hall. The SOJ Advising Center staff will distribute graduation applications, share details about the ceremony and answer questions.
