Charleston Gazette to host on-campus interviews

West Virginia’s largest newspaper, the Charleston Gazette, offers two summer reporting internships. These internships are 13-week, paid positions. Successful applicants will be part of the Gazette’s reporting staff from mid-May through mid-August and will cover many types of news stories—from meeting coverage to breaking police news.

If you believe you would be a good candidate for one of these highly competitive positions, please e-mail Cathy Bonnstetter with your resume and cover letter describing your career ambitions. Gazette Executive Editor Rob Byers will visit the School of Journalism on Jan. 31, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. conducting interviews. Selected students should have three published news-writing clips available for the interview.

Office of Residential Education seeks marketing interns

The WVU Office of Residential Education is hiring two interns to develop multimedia marketing materials for dorm residents and prospective students. 
Interns should be proficient with PREZI, web design, newsletter design and development, as well as writing and reporting. 
The position also requires taking photos and videos.

Note: The published products of this internship will be considered in the P.I. Reed School of Journalism inches requirement for print and visj students.
